Healing Hands Therapy, Inc

Massage Therapist

“I have been working as a massage therapist in the Southern Pasco/Northern Pinellas area for over 20 years. I am a mother of four and love what I do. I have worked with various Chiropractors and believe that massage therapy is one of the key factors when it comes to health and well being. I rarely do "cookie cutter" massages. Most of my work is done according to what your body requires at the time. Every massage is customized to your needs and comfort level.

I have taken various courses in medical massage and have received my certification as a medical massage practitioner. One technique in particular helps align the neck and improves the range of motion, another helps loosen the hips and relieves sciatic pain. I have helped prevent the need for surgery for carpal tunnel on many occasions and frozen shoulder syndrome.

I have an NPI number therefore I can accept PIP (personal injury protection, auto) workman's comp, and limited health insurance that covers massage. Each of the above needs a Dr's. prescription. My goal is always to help with pain and discomfort to bring you a better quality of life.”

About Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy Overview

Therapeutic massage, manipulating body tissue with the hands, heals muscles and promotes better circulation. First used over 3,000 years ago by the Chinese, massage therapy was a mainstay among other ancient cultures, including the Greeks, Japanese, Egyptians, Romans and Arabs. A Swedish gymnastics instructor, Per Henrik Ling, developed modern massage therapy in the early 19th century. The Swedish method combined exercise with massage to treat joint and muscle pain. In the 1850s, George and Charles Taylor, two brothers who studied massage in Sweden, brought this method to the U.S. Today it is a common treatment technique.
